Infant 1: Ages 6 weeks to 12 months The teachers base care on the child's individual needs. Each child's needs are considered while the teachers provide nurturing care. Teachers provide the babies with one-on-one attention and allow them to explore and learn through play.
Infant 2: Ages 9 to 18 months Provides the infants with a larger environment to explore and learn. Toys are placed on the shelves so that children are able to reach, grab and play with toys based on the interest of the child. Teachers are supportive of the child's developing independence.
Toddler 1: Ages 18 to 30 months Children are progressing by beginning to use words and follow a routine. The children in Toddler 1 are provided with experiences that allow them to express them- selves. Teachers encourage child- ren as they play and as they start new things such as sitting at a table for meals and sleeping on a cot.
Toddler 2: Ages 27 months to 3 years Children are on their way to preschool! Toddler 2 focuses on learning to be independent in using the potty, following a basic routine, and completing tasks such as washing hands and throwing away trash independently. Teachers support children in their efforts.

Early Head Start: Ages 6 weeks to 3 years This program is offered to children on site at the YWCA. Those enrolled in this program are in a classroom that has lower child to staff ratios. In this mixed age group, the teachers use primary care giving skills to meet the needs of each individual child. Children are able explore the environment to meet their needs. Teachers plan lessons to work on each individual's needs.
Preschool: Ages 3-5 years Children are provided with learning centers that allow them to actively participate in the classroom environment. Many learning activities are available to children as they make their own choices. Each day, the children are able to join in activities that enhance skills necessary for kindergarten readi- ness. Teachers plan lessons and work with children to facilitate learning.
Schoolage: Ages 5-11 years Children are provided with before and after school care during the regular school year. Our buses/ vans provide safe transportation to get children to the following schools: Belden Elementary, Belle Stone Elementary, Gibbs Elem. and Schreiber Elementary. Teachers provide children with help on homework & enrichment activities to assist in learning. The center is open during breaks from school, so children are able to attend a full day.
Summer Camp: (June, July, Aug.) Ages - Children that have already been to kindergarten thru 10 years.
Camp is a fun and busy summer for school age children. They attend 3 field trips a week. Field trips are enriching for children academically and physically. Children partici- pate in activities such as swimming lessons and community service projects.
