HOUSING PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE
Program Purpose: To assist persons who are in shelters, or otherwise homeless, in locating housing
Program Description: The Housing Specialists maintain current information on landlords and management companies that have affordable rental properties, and assist program participants with contacting landlords and managers to find available housing units. The Housing Specialist serves as a liaison with landlords and advocates on behalf of program participants; and may assist in negotiating rent reductions and a payment plan for deposits
Eligibility & Program Requirements:
- Must be homeless per HUD’s definition
- Must be able to pay rent
- May be required to participate in short term monitoring to ensure participant is maintaining residence and complying with lease
Cost: This is a free service to participants
