VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The YWCA is seeking volunteers to assist with committee work,
service program areas and to serve on the Board of Trustees.
Committee/Board Opportunities
Board of Trustees - Meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
Children's Services Committee - Meets once a month
Finance Committee - Meets once a month
Housing Committee - Meets once a month
Personnel Committee - Meets once a month Special Events The YWCA has two major special events a year: YWCA Stark County Women's Hall of Fame - Committee work for the Hall of Fame begins in January concluding with the event in May. For more information click here.
The Night of Champions - This is the major fund-raiser for the YWCA!
Work begins in May lasting through mid November, with the majority of time
commitment being in Sept., Oct. & Nov. For details click here.
Help is always appreciated in our donation room for the sorting of clothing, etc. for the shelter residents.
Help in a childcare classroom - This opportunity has special requirements: fingerprinting, references, medical clearance, and commitment of time, as children need consistency. Organize a Special Event
