Women’s Hall of Fame
The YWCA Canton is excited to announce the return of our Women’s Hall of Fame! On Saturday, September 30th at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Nash Family Event and Conference Center, we will celebrate six remarkable women from our community.
Our Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients: Diane Stevens Robinson (class of 1993) and Janet Weir Creighton (class of 2007) and class of 2023: Sister Karen Lindenberger, Jennifer Meek Eells, Patricia Hopkins Williams, and Lauren Winland.
Since 1990, the YWCA has recognized and honored 180 outstanding women, including exceptional female high school students from Stark County, through our Women’s Hall of Fame. Each inductee, throughout the history of this event, has made significant contributions to our community.
The event brings together the entire community to celebrate these significant contributions and serves as the YWCA Canton’s bi-annual fundraiser that supports the services we provide including being home to Stark County’s largest homeless shelter for women and children, Early Head Start and preschool services, permanent supportive housing program and Rapid Re-Housing.
We look forward to celebrating at the 2023 Women’s Hall of Fame– and sincerely hope you will be able to join us.
